We had a great value for our money at this tucked-away forest venue. The room was spacious, well-appointed, with comfy beds and plenty of pillows. The newly renovated bathroom was a nice touch. The peaceful location was perfect for our needs, with easy access to the northern beaches and Macquarie Uni. The staff treated us well and we look forward to returning regularly.

As for the hotel breakfast, it could use some improvement, maybe more variety or faster service.

This hotel offers great value for money, with reasonable prices and attention to detail. The location in the forest provides a tranquil and scenic atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms are well-equipped with good facilities and offer lovely views. The comfortable beds ensure a good night's sleep, and the breakfast served is of high quality.

Everything was satisfactory.

The ease of booking via internet. The size and cleanliness of the unit, the rooms were soundproof (except for the sound of slamming doors). I requested and was given fresh milk for coffee which I greatly appreciated as I cannot drink the longlife milk.

Great facilities, including a jacuzzi and sports activities. Perfect for a relaxing stay for old people.

Location is close to a beautiful national park and there are nice restaurants nearby. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

The hotel was outdated and in desperate need of a renovation. The pillows were very uncomfortable and there wasn't enough tea and coffee in the room.

Enjoyed the updated facilities. Rooms now more upmarket and modern.

During my stay in this hotel, I was impressed with the nicely-maintained cleanliness and conveniences provided for the guests. Apart from free-to-use sports facilities, the hotel has a great location that's right beside a busy motorway, yet it's surprisingly noise-free. Such a setting is also in proximity to Gordon station, the northern beaches, and even the Tavern for dinner. I was able to start my day off right with an appetizing breakfast served by their lovely and helpful staff.

It was really easy to access. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom had obviously been recently upgraded. The Resort is set in large leafy grounds.

Good Views, Large Room

We stayed at this hotel for Christmas and, unfortunately, it wasn't the best experience. On the bright side, the views from the room were pretty good and the room itself was quite large. The location was also convenient for our plans.

The negatives outweighed the positives. The hotel definitely needs some updating as everything felt very worn and outdated.

Wish wifi was included and better available in the rooms. Breakfast menu could be widely expanded beyond continental only. Overall,mexcellent hotel.

After a long day of exploring the nearby National Parks, I arrived at Checkers Resort and was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable and well-appointed room. The renovated bathroom was a nice touch and the shower mixer made it easy to find the perfect temperature. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. The proximity to Mona Vale road made it convenient to access Forest Way and explore the surrounding area. Despite its location near a main road, the room was quiet and peaceful, ensuring a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend Checkers Resort for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
